How to Get Rewarded on Spotlight

Spotlight lets you create and share short videos with users from all over the world with millions of Snapchatters. We greatly value our community’s creative contributions, and Spotlight is a place where anyone can take center stage.
Enabling Success for Emerging Creators
Rewarding Snapchatters for their creativity is important to us. We are excited to share that we increased the total rewards available for eligible Spotlight creators.
We are rewarding emerging creators who are investing in creating on Spotlight. Eligible Snapchatters can receive monthly rewards - which can be cashed out for money - if they are top-performing creators in that calendar month. Performance is determined by a proprietary formula based on various factors, such as views and other engagement metrics.
To be eligible:
  1. Your account must be at least 1 month old
  2. Your profile must be set to public
  3. You must have a minimum of 1,000 followers
  4. You must have received a minimum of 10,000 views in that calendar month
  5. You must post at least 10 times on at least 5 different days in that calendar month. At least 5 posts must use a Snapchat Creative Tool (Any one of Camera, Editing, or Music) 
  6. Your content must be original (created by you)
  7. You must reside in and post Snaps from an eligible country
  8. You must successfully set up a payment account
  9. You must comply with the Community Guidelines, Content Guidelines, Spotlight Guidelines, Terms of Service, Music Guidelines, and our Spotlight Terms. Any Snaps you delete from Spotlight won't be eligible for payment.
If you are eligible to receive rewards from your Spotlight Submissions, you will receive a push notification in the Snapchat app and will also be notified in My Profile where you can tap ‘My Snap Crystals’ to open the Crystals Hub.
Spotlight Challenges
Win prizes for submitting top-performing Spotlight submissions that are responsive to Challenge prompts and score the best on specific judging criteria.
This is a chance for Creators to highlight their unique voice and creativity using the Snap camera and editing tools. Creators who submit Snaps to Challenges may also be eligible for Rewards.
Who Sees Your Spotlights?
We aim to make each person's experience personal to them within Spotlight. Our content algorithms work to showcase the most engaging Snaps each Snapchatter would be interested in.
