How to Submit to Spotlight
Share your Snaps on Spotlight for the opportunity to reach a large (and supportive) audience:
On Your Phone
Record your Snap and add any creative tools or edits. Tap the Send button and choose ‘Spotlight’ at the top of the ‘Send to’ screen.
On the Web
Log in to your Snapchat account and use the Web Uploader tool for quick and easy submissions.
Pro Tips for Spotlight Success
- Be creative! Incorporate tools like Lenses, Sounds, and GIFs
- All videos must be vertical and can be up to 60 seconds long
- Only use music from Snapchat's library to avoid copyright infringement, and comply with our Music Guidelines
- Try Timeline, a Camera feature that lets you record multiple clips and splice them together
- Add a #Topic (e.g., #LifeHacks) when you submit your Snap to Spotlight
Before content shows up on the Spotlight tab, it gets reviewed by moderators who help make sure it meets our Spotlight Guidelines and Community Guidelines. Once you’ve submitted a Snap to Spotlight, check on the status of your submission from your Profile.
